Gerald Oswald Jones of Aberdeen died Thursday, September 21 at Harford Memorial Hospital. He was 59. Born in Richmond, VA he was the son of Mary (Taylor) Jones of Montross, VA and the late Leonard C Jones. Mr. Jones worked for Rite Aid.

He enjoyed doing carpentry work, cooking, puzzles and collecting model cars. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Josephine (Green) Jones; son, Michael L. Mitchell of Aberdeen; daughters, LaTonya Mitchell and Shanitta Wickware both of Aberdeen; brothers, Michael Jones of Montross, VA and Brian Jones of Edgewood; sisters, Cleo Jones, Carla Jones Tate and Linda Jones all of Montross, VA, Brenda Jones of Aberdeen and Gwendolyn Dudley of Colonial Beach, VA. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his son-in-law, Devon Wickware.
