Lynette Helen Cranford

Lynette Helen Cranford was born on December 23, 1966 in Portland, Oregon to the proud parents of Lawrence and Helen Cranford. She was the youngest of three children.

Growing up Lynette attended Meek Grade School, Beaumont Middle School and Grant High School. In her adult years, Lynette went to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon where she eventually retired.

Lynette had three beautiful children who were the loves of her life: Markis, Lawrencia and Alijah. In her spare time, you could find Lynette at home with her two grandchildren (Lyveetrius and Alijah Jr.), whom she loved more than anything.

Lynette was very passionate about family. She loved camping, going to the beach, attending family gatherings and eating soul food. Especially fried fish.  She also enjoyed reminiscing about family and friends as she looked thru old photographs.  Her favorite past time was watching Divorce Court and her TV husband, Steve Harvey.

Lynette is survived by her Children: Markis Cranford-Deloney of Atlanta Georgia, Lawrencia Cranford-Taylor of Portland Oregon and Alijah Cranford-Haile also of Portland Oregon. Her Mother Helen Cranford of Portland Oregon, and siblings; Brother Mark Smith of Portland Oregon and Sister Lisa Parks (Ron) of Duluth Georgia. Her two grandchildren: Lyveetrius Cranford and Alijah Cranford-Haile Jr., and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family members and friends. Lynette was preceded in death by her Father, Lawrence Cranford.

I worked with Lynette at Regence Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Oregon for 6 years, and I recall a time when we attended a Pieces of a Dream concert in 2002.  I moved to Californa 2003 and lost contact with Lynette, and I'm saddend to learn of her passing.  RIP Sistah Lynette!
